How to care for your skin after lasers, peels and Botox
Carbon Spectra Peel / Soft Peel / Pore Reduction
- Gentle application of daily cosmetic moisturizer
- Do not rub the area or use abrasives
- Daily application of recommended spf 50 sunscreen with broad UVA/UVB coverage and
zinc/titanium physical block. We recommend skin ceutical 50.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure at least 1 week
- No glycolic acid , alcohol based products or exfoliating solutions for the first
48 hours after treatment then our vit c moisturiser daily
- Redness (erythema) will generally disappear in 2-3 days
- Do not pick at any flaking skin
- Normally any discomfort is well controlled with tylenol or any acetaminophen
- Call if there are any questions or concerns
Melasma / Age Spot / cafe Au Lait
- Daily application of cosmetic moisturizer
- Daily application of recommended spf 50 sun blocker at least 1 hour before going
into direct sunlight
- Hydroquinone cream daily as directed
- Avoid any unnecessary sun exposure
- Call if there are any questions or concerns
Laser tattoo Removal
- No scrubbing or washing area in hot water until healed
- Gently wipe area clean and re apply topical antibiotic cream 2 x/day ( neosporin,poly
B, triple-antibiotic creams are fine) for the first 3 days or until the area looks
healed
- Apply new non stick dressing ( telfa) with each cleaning and tape in place continue
to cover the area until it looks healed (generally for the first week)
- Should a blister form do not puncture it for foot & ankles keep elevated first 24
hours
- Do not pick any scabs let them fall off
- No sun exposure to area , when healed use our recommended sunscreen daily
- Normally any discomfort is well controlled with Tylenol, acetaminophen
- Call of there are any questions or concerns
Laser Hair Removal
- Apply moisturizer daily
- No unnecessary sun exposure for 1-2 weeks after the laser procedure
- Daily use of spf 30 sun block 1 hour before going outside
- No hot showers the first 48 hours
- No loofa use or scrubbing the area
- Let any hair fall out do not try to rub out any tiny hairs that appear to be loose
- Call if there are any questions or concerns
Botox
- In the first few hours after injection contract the muscles frequently
- Any swelling will subside in the first hour, ice for any discomfort
- After the injections do not exercise for the rest of the day
- Do not rub the area
- Do not lay down for the first 3 hours post injection
- Any headache is normally controlled with Tylenol, acetaminophen or Motrin perpetration
such as Advil. No Motrin or Advil if you also had dermal fillers that day.
- You will not notice any change in your lines for about 6 days
- You will have motion in the facial muscles for the first 6 days

Dermal Fillers Juvederm Radiesse
- If you sense any irregularities or bumps you can gently massage the area smoother
for the first 24 hours
- No medications unless medically required that can prolong bleeding ( Vit E, Motrin,
Advil) for the first 24 hours
- Ice packs or Tylenol can offer relief if any discomfort develops
- No laser therapy or chemical peels for one month after getting fillers
- Call if there are any questions or concerns
Chemical Peels ( not Vi)
- It normally requires a week for the skin to appear normal you may experience a tightening
sensation, itching, burning and mild discomfort, These will gradually disappear.
- Any swelling is treatable with ice packs 15 minutes on 15 minutes off as required
- Acid free moisturizer 2 x per day for the first week then return to your normal products
- No abrasive scrubs on treated area
- Daily application of spf30 sun block ( you are much more sensitive to the sun after
the peel)
- Avoid scaring by not: picking the skin, scratching the area,peeling the skin, no
peeling masques
- No retinoids post peel for one week
- Call if there are any questions or concerns
Vi peel
- All of the above but you must wash the peel off 2-4 hours after the application
- Follow instructions suppplied
